Dr. Loughlin and I are co-located at Thrive Alternative Medicine and our services can overlap since someone seeking medical marijuana might also benefit from reframing how they think about a health diagnosis. Or someone with insomnia might benefit from medical marijuana and counseling. Counseling appointments are longer and typically more indepth than a medical marijuana visit, so I'll share about myself and you decide if we might be a good fit. I appreciate our beautiful beaches, and am very social, I enjoy meeting new people paddleboarding or wherever I go. Getting regular physical activity whether at the gym, golfing, biking or whatever makes me feel great! And having rewarding work are all ingredients in MY recipe to thrive so I don't experience another episode of depression. I'm familiar with how physical health can impact mental health and vice versa from working in medical settings. So in counseling, it may be helpful to know about your physical health, how relationships, work, friendships, and other aspects of life are going. All of these contribute to our mental health and overall wellness. My experience with a variety of tools and interventions will be at our disposal, but without a sense of connection, it's difficult to build trust and reach goals.
